Hindustan University Conducts CATC'09
(Combined Annual Training Camp '09) at University Campus consecutively for the second time!!!

Period : 15th June to 24th June 2009
Hindustan University and 1 (TN) Air Sqdn NCC, Tambaram conducts the Combined Annual Training Camp ‘09 (CATC ‘09) at Hindustan University, Chennai from 15.06.09 to 25.06.09.
The objective of the camp is to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular out look, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
A total of 520 cadets which includes the SD and SW cadets of Hindustan University NCC Air wing and various senior cadets(both Senior Division & Senior Wing) from various colleges like Sathyabama,Pachaiyappas,Loyola,Guru Nanak participate to get trained in various NCC activities such as Flying, riffle shooting ,drill parades etc… The camp comprises of the Junior Division and Junior Wing cadets from 13 schools including Montfort, Zion Matriculation, Lady Andal, Aasan Memorial, Raja Muthaiya and Corporation schools from the zones Chennai, Vellore, Ranipet, Arakkonam and Thiruvallur .The final Competition will be held at the campus after the vigorous training given by the Air Force Officials. The Wing Commander, Captain, PI staff of 1 TN Air Sqdn NCC, administration staff with the NCC Officers of all the units are comfortably placed at the campus to give the cadets a well disciplined training. During the Valedictory function prizes would be distributed to the winning team and to the cadets for their outstanding performances.
This camp is getting successively conducted for the second time at Hindustan University, Chennai.
